Asus Plans to Launch 11.6-inch Netbook, Ultra-Thin Notebooks
Technology.am (May 4, 2009) — Asus plans to launch an 11.6-inch Eee PC later this month, but will still consider 10-inch the mainstream specification for 2009.
According to Asus president Jerry Shen, the 10-inch netbooks will account for approximately 50% of total shipments in 2009, while the 11.6-inch models will account for only 30%.
In addition, the company will also jump on the CULV bandwagon with the launch of a couple of ultraportable systems, which will become available in 13.3-inch priced between 599-699 euro, 14-inch and 15.6-inch priced between 799-999 euro, form factors. All these systems are expected to debut later in July.
