Brabus High Voltage Car

Technology.am (Sept. 24, 2009) — At the Frankfurt Motor show in Germany, Brabus has unveiled the Ultimate High Voltage Concept Electric Car.

brabus-high-voltageThe sporty little car is a new model that is an updated version of the Brabus’s electric Smart ED concept.
The sporty little car will do the 0 – 60 km/h (38.5 mph) sprint in 3.7 seconds and 0 – 100 km/h (62 mph) in 9.8 seconds.
These performances are possible due to 61kW (82hp) and 280Nm of peak torque achieved at 0 rpm.
The car features lithium ion batteries and a rear electric motor supplied by Tesla Motors.
The car includes aerodynamic wheels with clear plexiglass covers, and wide side skirts and wheel arches.
Other features include LED running lights for increased visibility in the daytime, and a sound generator that will let the driver to make the silent electric motor sound like a racing car or V8 car.
The car is still in the concept stage and its release depends on when the consumer version of the Smart ED is released.
