Technology.am (Aug. 29, 2009) — German scientists have developed a high-tech mug to keep coffee at the perfect temperature. They used a phase change material (PCM), a wax-like substance to keep drinks cold or hot for longer period.
Klaus Sedlbauer, the head of the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics, and his colleague Herbert Sinnesbichler created the first PCM mug using a porcelain shell whose hollow interior is filled with a honeycomb structure made of ribbons of highly conductive material, such as aluminum.

Google has now added automatic translation technology to Google Docs allowing users to translate the text of any document into one of 42 languages.
To use the translation tool, open your document, go Tools > Translate document, and then choose your language and you will find the translated version of a new window, allowing you to compare and contrast the two side by side.
You can either replace the original file with the translation or copy the translation to a new document.

The feature allows searchers to view videos directly on the search results page instead of taking them to the site where the video is hosted.

Driver Charles Burnett III successfully broke the land speed record for a steam powered car – which has stood for more than 100 years – achieving an average speed of 139.843mph on two runs over a measured mile. He managed to reach a peak speed of 136.103 mph on the first run and 151.085 mph on the second.
