17 September 2012 One Comment

Within two years, HTC has become one of the best smart-phones manufacturers in the world. HTC has used rapid innovation as its business model and launches something totally different and totally new every now and then.

HTC One X

HTC One X was one of the most awaited smart-phones of 2012 and now that its out there’s a lot of hype about this, both good and bad. So it the HTC One X worth applauding or is just another Android Smartphone in the market? Those who have become weary of problem associated with Android, such as Android spyware and keylogger attacks may be reluctant but the phone is really worth the look.

Firstly, HTC One X is extremely attractive. The phone has the sleek gloss of luxury embarked upon its design and is quite different than Samsung’s Galaxy series which is at times blamed for being plastic-y. HTC One X is glory all the way. HTC One X looks a lot like the Sensation series but rather than being completely white and complete black, it combines the best of both. One X is available in two luxurious colors; Grey and White.

HTC One X weighs 130 grams with 134.4 x 69.9 x 8.9mm. The weight is much less than Apple’s Iphone 4S or even HTC’s Sensation XL/XE series. This phone is much lighter to handle and carry and with the help of its rounded curved edges, it’s quite easy to spread your hands and use the screen.

In terms of screen and resolution, HTC One X has surpassed its predecessors. One X deploys the Super AMOLED technology and rather than using the simple LCD it uses the Super LCD. This gives the user a perfect alignment of bright and clear colors and the resolution with 1280×720 pixels make HTC One X’s visual experience a lot more pleasing than other phones. Again HTC has used Gorilla Glass which makes the screen durable and resistant to scratches and finger prints.

Technologically, HTC One X came with Android’s updated 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system is making it one of the firsts HTC’s to use this. HTC One X also comes with the Sense 4.0 experience which makes personalization and design more fun for the user. HTC One X has an internal memory of 32 GB and a 1 GB RAM. The absence of memory slot option does give the HTC One X the disadvantage of expandable memory but then again 32GB memory is quite an expanse for the user.

After that, HTC has used the same camera specs like the previous XL and XE. The rear view camera is 8 mega pixels with LED flash. The front camera is 1.3 Mega pixel but it has improved as the final result is less grainier than the previous HTC’s.

One X works on both 2G and 3G networks, it also has GPRS, WLAN, Bluetooth and EDGE options along with a USB micro port which is quite important for a phone with such a high price tag.

Apart from all this HTC One X comes with pre-installed applications and these aren’t all removable and are quite important for the phone. Adobe Reader, Dropbox, Facebook and Twitter are a few examples. The Google Play Store gives HTC users unlimited access to all kinds of applications, e-books and games and this makes HTC One X an amazing entertaining experience.

An amazing aspect of HTC One X is the use of Beats Audio. Although the phone does not come with Beats Audio headphones such as that with Sensation XL and XE it still has HTC’s Rezound software to boost music and filter audio. Apart from this, the Rezound is the basic application to play music and access Google Music, Pandora and Soundhound.

All these unlimited options, features and specifications make HTC One X extremely desirable and the created hype an obvious preliminary to one of HTC’s best smart-phones until now and HTC One X is available at AT&T.

  • Top 5 Smartphones to Beat the iPhone 5 - Technology.am said:

[…] The HTC One X was released around the same time as the Samsung Galaxy S3, but it’s still one of the most popular phones on the market. It’s armed with a 4.7-inch display and a quad-core CPU clocked at 1.5GHz, so in terms of performance it has no equals. Plus it has a very competitive price, too, especially if bought on contract. So the chances are high that a person will prefer the cheaper HTC One X to the much more expensive iPhone 5, especially when they have almost the same specs. […]
