As Gamescom 2011, Cologne, is going great, we pick for you four of the titles with their lighting footages displayed at the event, hoping that it will be a perfect add for your wish list.

Mass Effect 3

Mass Effect 3 gameplay trailer, ‘Squad Leader’, revealed at EA press conference on Gamescom 2011, purely defines the name. From what we see, Mass Effect 3 has retained all the core elements of Mass Effect 2 with beautiful improvisations in graphics and gameplay — like the weapon customization, larger skill tree, addition of Omni blade, frag grenade, proximity mine and a lot more.

In this trailer, we have Commander Shepard with his squad members Liara and Garrus, fighting against Cerberus soldiers and a Cerberus heavy mech, ‘Altas’, at the end.

The footage shows some of the cool new features like enhanced cover mechanics, death strike with Omni blade, usage of frag grenade and heavy weapon with homing missiles. BioWare’s Mass Effect will be coming on March 6, 2012 in North America and on March 9 inEurope, for Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Battlefield 3

One of the biggest FPS anticipation of this year, ‘Battlefield 3’, has shook up Gamescom 2011, with two trailers, the two player co-op and 64-player Conquest. We were in dubious battle regarding how EA and DICE could bring Battlefield 3 to a much better experience than the other successful FPS titles, balancing the heavy graphics versus smooth gameplay, both for single and multiplayer.

But with these trailers they have shown how BF3 is running smooth with their latest frostbite 2.0 graphics engine. The co-op demo, Exfiltration, showcased two players doing a rescue mission for a high value hostage, El Zakir, involving stealthy and close quarter gameplay.

The co-op mode is done as a separate mode rather than taking campaign levels. The real smoking comes with second multiplayer demo, ‘Conquest’. The spectacular 64 –player demo takes place in a multiplayer map called Caspian border, were you can see two sides battling  with different war elements like the jets, helicopters, tanks, jeeps and, of course, the different classes of soldiers.

With 24 player co-op and server browsing for the consoles, what else do we need?  Catch up Battlefield 3 on October 25 in North America and October 28 inEuropeavailable for PC, PS3 and Xbox360.

Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception

Sony without Uncharted out of the question, and here at Gamescom 2011, Naughty Dog brought us a new gameplay demo from Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception. Demo shows our hero, ‘Nathan Drake’, fighting his way to board a moving plane, which he eventually does with the help of Elena Fisher, another protagonist in UC series.

Uncharted series is like a jam-packed action cinema, beautiful in all aspects like  graphics, gameplay and the story line. Way back when we got our hands on Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, it was the perfect PS3 title ever played, also the best-looking PS3 game ever.

Though we were not blown out a la  during the UC2 launch trailer, Drakes Deception will definitely make the best sequel. Uncharted 3 has a lot of new improvements in graphics, multiplayer, customizations, etc. Uncharted 3 will be available in North American on November 1 and on November 2 and 3 for other regions, exclusively for Playstation 3.

Borderlands 2

As we said earlier, the chance for Borderlands 2 demo reveal ended up in short cinematic trailer at Gamescom 2011. Well, it doesn’t matter if the upcoming sequel keeps the promises as the developer demands, since we were all well satisfied with Borderlands, the way it diverted the gaming experience with off-beat designs, fun co-op and the vast world of Pandora.

Borderland developers Gearbox says that they are making a sequel  furbishing everything, including graphics, AI, weapons, vehicles, enemies and gameplay mechanics, for a true sequel rather than a bunch of new levels with ‘2’ beside the name.

The game has been in development for three years, and it will take you back to Pandora, five years after the events in the first. The new dictator Handsome Jack, who purchased the Hyperion Corporation, has thrown you (the Gunzeker) out in arctic tundra, and finally ended up those bullymongs.

This is what the trailer shows. With a good story line, apparently the big absence in Borderlands, we can expect Borderlands 2 to be the perfectlooting experience. So wait till 2012 to get hands on.

This is not the end; with the Gamescom 2011final wrap-up we will bring you more of the interesting titles and updates.
