Murata Seiko Unicycling Robot with improved balance
Technology.am (Sept. 30, 2009) — Murata Seiko, (Murata Girl) unicycling robot has upgraded since its debut in 2008.
Murata Seiko robot is going to be performing at CEATEC 2009, with her improved balance, increased speed and turning ratio.
Murata Seiko robot includes a traveling speed of 15cm/sec (three times faster than the original model), a turning ratio of 2cm, and the ability to navigate a thin balance beam.
The robot includes a front-mounted camera to detect the balance beam, additional gyro sensors to aid its balancing act, and distance sensors.
