Another win for Apple, and not least in its war against Samsung: the Cupertino company has just obtained the blocking sales of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the United States. The California court held that this was because of the resemblance between the terminal of Samsung and the iPad.

“While Samsung is authorized to competition, he has no right to engage in unfair competition by flooding the market with counterfeit products,” wrote Judge Lucy Koh in the document issued by the court. She adds that the arguments are strong enough to Apple that it has no choice but to grant the injunction.

Apple has long called for blocking sales of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 United States: in the meantime, Samsung has also released several new models, including the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 remaining meanwhile on sale, like all other models. The fact remains that this ruling is a blow to the South Korean company, to openly accused of infringement by the Court.

The preliminary injunction is not yet come into action: to do this, Apple should pay a deposit of $ 2.6 million for its adoption. Samsung is on its side to appeal the decision.
