QSOUND Solar Powered Bluetooth Headphones

May 30, 2009 - 2:15 am | 36 views

Technology.am (May 30, 2009) — A Romania-based engineering student Stephen Shepeleff at the Transylvania University of Brasov, has designed the solar-powered Bluetooth headphones known as the Q-SOUND headphones.

bluetoothheadphonesThe solar-powered bluetooth-connected Q-Sound (quantum sound) headphones are surrounded by flexible solar cells. The cells will be powering two rechargeable lithium ion batteries above each earphone. A single hour of sun provides 2.67 hours of power at maximum volume, and a fully charged headset can run for 40 hours.

The Q-SOUND headphones would not only allow you to listen to music via any Bluetooth-enabled digital audio player, but also would let you take calls on any Bluetooth-enabled cell phone. If your player doesn’t support Bluetooth there is also a 3.5mm jack to allow for a wired connection.
