Hewlett-Packard to employ sales personnel

Technology.am (Dec. 08, 2009) — Hewlett-Packard plans to improve its sales force to carry on winning clients and gets better the way it pitches computers and associated services to corporations, Executive Vice President Ann Livermore said.
The company will employ from services firms and in addition aim chief information officers with sales skills, Livermore said in an interview at Bloomberg’s headquarters in New York today. The company has over 24,000 salespeople, a 50 percent increase from four years ago.

Technology.am (Nov 24, 2009) — Hewlett-Packard Co. reported personal-computer sales that topped several analysts’ estimates after the business took market share from Dell Inc. and benefited from rising and falling demand in China.
PC sales in the fourth quarter finished Oct. 31 were $9.86 billion, a 12 percent fall from a year in advance and a 17 percent boost from the preceding three months, Hewlett-Packard said today in an announcement.

HP introduces SkyRoom, Videoconferencing for Businesses

Free Widgets for your PC can Save Energy

Technology.am (Sept. 24, 2009) — A little software gadget developed by Hewlett-Packard as part of a campaign called Power to Change.
Since June, HP has offered free downloads of its energy widget from its Web site. The small program runs on a desktop and a pop-up encourages users to turn off their computers when the computers are idle for long stretches of time. It also tells them how much energy they’ve saved collectively, as reported by users in regular updates.
