Sony Agrees to provide its Older Songs to eMusic

Technology.am (June 1, 2009) — Sony Music has agreed to provide its older songs to New York City based eMusic.
The eMusic has about 400,000 subscribers who download songs and pay a monthly fee. Its service is primarily focused for music loving adults. Now it plans to add all Sony Music tracks that are more than two years old.
Subscribers to eMusic’s “basic” plan, for example, pay $11.99 a month to download 30 songs — or about 40 cents a song, far below the prices on Apple’s iTunes.

Sony X-Series Walkman with OLED Touchscreen

Technology.am (May 14, 2009) — Sony has unveiled the new X-series Walkman its first touchscreen MP3 player.
The 3-inch touchscreen is by far the X’s best feature.
The X-series Walkman has OLED touchscreen display, integrated noise cancellation technology. The advantage of OLED technology is that it draws less power from a battery than an LCD screen. Sony said that the X-Series has nine hours of video battery life, three hours more than the iPod Touch.

Sony eBook Store to Offer Classic Books Promoted by Google

Now it is good news for who like to read Sony’s eBook. They can easily catch these eBooks digitalized by Google. Sony Electronics has struck a deal with Google to distribute half a million titles through the Sony eBook Store — for free.
The books, all published before 1923 and now in the public domain, were digitized by Google as part of its Google Book Search program. Sony will offer them alongside the 100,000 or so books still under copyright that it sells through its eBook store.
