Techonology.am (Mar 8, 2010) — So it is finally coming to you. Apple is bringing in the iPad on April 3 to the hands of US customers, and preorders are set to start on March 12. The Apple device has been generating huge amounts of hype ever since the unveiling some time back. Now with the launch date also known, the enthusiasm has grown manifold.
What would arrive on April 3 would be the version with no 3G compatibility. Customers will have to wait for some more time till they get to lay their hands on the 3G device. Same goes for buyers from outside US too. It is being said that the US customers who would look at owning the more expensive 3G version of the iPad will have to wait until late April.
Ever since the wraps were lifted off the iPad on January 27, the iPad has been on everyone’s minds. From what we know now, the iPad will be available in Wi-Fi models on April 3 in the US for $499 for the 16-Gbyte model, $599 for 32GB, and $699 for the 64 GB version. The Wi-Fi + 3G models will be priced at $629 for 16GB, $729 for 32GB and $829 for the 64GB version.
We are just waiting to lay our hands on the new iPad as soon as it arrives. Faster web browsing, the Maps application and all are indeed luring. What we are going to miss is the Adobe Flash. The absence could mean that video on sites may not does not work.
Though there have been negative ratings owing to the absence of multitasking, Adobe Flash, camera or iChat capabilities, HDMI port and the like, the general enthusiasm hasn’t died down. Now with the announcement of an official date for the US, the interest is picking up like never before. We are all waiting for that date.
