Technology.am (Sept. 17, 2009) — Cablevision Systems are expanding their interactive marketing options to advertisers, the company plans to bring interactive banner ads to TV. These ads will let TV viewers to order product samples, brochures and coupons with click of their TV Remote.
You will find banner ads running at the bottom of select TV commercials. When you click on the ad, a quarter of screen will shrink and feature product information.
The ads will motivate viewers to click on their remotes during commercials, with the promised reward of a coupon or product sample.
The company has signed up paint company Benjamin Moore as one of its first customers. The TV commercial and the banner ad will be from the same advertiser.
