Technology.am (July 17, 2009) — Dell introduced its first integrated desktop model to its Vostro line-up in the form of the Vostro All In One, at a relatively low price.
Dell hopes to attract small businesses looking for an attractive computer that takes up a minimum amount of desktop space. Dell claims the Vostro can take up as little as a fifth of the space of other PCs.
This desktop is available in Asia Pacific and Japan. This desktop will hit North America starting on August 11th for a base price of $629 and in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region on Aug. 23.
This is the new business desktop offers a 19-inch display, a Core 2 Duo processor, a 2GB RAM, a 160GB hard drive, an optional webcam, an Ethernet port, serial ports, parallel ports, VESA mounting and an optional WiFi connectivity.
With more serious all-black design, the 19-inch system has features sometimes needed at work, such as parallel and serial ports, as well as options for a built-in webcam, backup software and VESA mounting for a display arm (shown) or a wall.
The system is already available in China and Japan; in the latter country, a starter Vostro All In One comes with a 2.6GHz Pentium dual-core, 2GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive and an integrated DVD burner.
