Technology.am (Oct 27, 2009) — Death doesn’t wipe away the online footsteps that public leave in life and Facebook won’t either, although it will formulate a few changes.
The five-year-old social network will “remember” profiles of the dead if their friends or family appeal for it. Such accounts will be dissimilar from normal Facebook profiles.
For instance, the website will get rid of any contact information and bar people from logging in. The person’s profile as well won’t come into sight in the “suggestions” segment of Facebook, and just the departed person’s established friends will be able to come across them in a search.
The progress comes as Facebook becomes a significant social center for its more than 300 million active users worldwide to maintain up with friends and family.
