Nintendo launches new Wii Fit Plus Exercise Game (June 03, 2009) — Nintendo launches new game Wii Fit Plus, a follow up to Wii Fi. The Wii Fit Plus is designed to give users greater control over their exercise regime. It uses the existing Wii balance board to help improve people’s strength, co-ordination and stamina.

nintendo_wiiWii Fit Plus gives users access to 15 new balance games, including juggling and skateboarding, as well as six new strength training and yoga exercises.

Users can create customised workouts of varying lengths to fit their keep-fit routine around a busy lifestyle. They can also choose from pre-set exercise routines designed to target specific areas of the body, such as toning arms, firming stomach muscles, and even reducing stress.

The Wii Fit has been one of the best-selling video games of the last year, selling more than 15 million copies worldwide since it was launched in 2008.

The company also announced another health and wellbeing gadget, the Wii Vitality Sensor. The new gadget features a small pulse sensor that clips on to the player’s finger and connects to the Wii controller to measure the user’s heart rate.
