President and chief strategy officer of Salesforce.com’s, Steve Cakebread resigned from the company effective Feb. 1, according to a U.S. regulatory filing this week.
Salesforce.com has not named a replacement yet. Cakebread left to “pursue other professional opportunities” and not because of any disagreement, the company said.
It’s not the first time he has announced about his retirement from Salesforce.com. After serving as a CFO for about four years he announced in the year 2006 that he would retire. Shortly after it, Chairman and CEO Marc Benioff said Cakebread had changed his mind and decided to continue as the CFO. He moved into his current positions last year as the chief strategy officer.
