The Ultimate Collection of Spy Gadgets That Actually Exist in the Real World

5. Personal Equipment

5.1 Mirrored Sunglasses

mirrored-glasses

These glasses look and function like regular sunglasses, but the lenses on these have a special coating that allows you to look straight ahead and still see what is going on behind you.

5.2 Lock Pick Tools

lock-pickers

This lock pick set, this is used for picking the locks when ever needed. There are lock pickers available which are hidden inside a working pen. The pocket clip detaches and transforms into a tension wrench, and the pen body becomes a pick handle.

5.3 Grappling Hooks

hooks

Grappling hooks? Oh yeah, you need those for when you are in your black ninja clothes and need to scale a perimeter wall surrounding a terrorist compound. Admit it. You always wanted to try the way of the ninja, didn’t you? And you already own the outfit and some throwing stars, right? Then all you need is the grappling hook!

5.4 Ninja climbing spikes

power-rope-climber

Since we’ve already brought up the ninja stuff, here are some ninja hand claws and foot spikes. These are very handy for climbing trees or wooden guard towers. And if you still need the ninja clothes… well, you will just have to find those on your own.

5.5 The 500,000 Volt Stun Pen

50000-volt-pen

This stun gun is the size of a magic marker, yet delivers a 500,000 volt shock! Causes intense pain and muscle contractions, two to three seconds later the subject becomes dazed and drops to the ground.

5.6 Pepper Spray Ring

peeper-spray-ring

This ring provides 2-3 one second bursts of concentrated pepper spray, and has an effective range of 12 inches. (Press the small button on the side to spray.) The ring’s spray has a heat rating of 2 million SHU – causing inflammation of the eye capillaries and all other mucous membranes, resulting in immediate temporary visual impairment, difficult breathing, coughing, choking, sneezing, and nausea, with acute symptoms and discomfort lasting for 45 minutes.

5.7 Brass Knuckles

brass-knuckle

Brass knuckles, also called knucks or knuckle dusters – they’re old fashioned, low tech, and totally effective. These things are great for breaking bones, and are illegal to even possess in most places – no self respecting private detective should be without a pair!

5.8 Concealed Pen Knives

pen-knives

These are some wicked little knives. The pens are actually working ink pens, until you pull them apart, revealing the knife.

5.9 Lipstick Knife

lipstick-knife

What woman wouldn’t want a lipstick knife hidden in her purse? This has a 1.5″ double edged blade crafted inside a lipstick case. Rotate the bottom as you would a normal lipstick and the blade emerges.

6. Counter Surveillance

6.1 Bug Detector

bug-detector

Functions as a bug/phone tap, wired and wireless hidden camera detector. This counter-measure device can locate transmitters or bugging devices in a room or automobile. It excels at tracing RF signals for RF security and counter-surveillance applications.

6.2 Phone Tap Detector

phone-tap-detector

This counter-measure device checks your phone line for on-premises series and parallel bugs and wiretaps. It can also check the telephone for most common types of hook switch bypasses, which effectively turn the telephone into a room monitor.

6.3 Video Camera Detector

spy-camera-detector

This device will not only detect the presence of a video camera, it will also intercept a wireless camera transmission, showing on your screen EXACTLY what the camera sees. This should make it very easy to find the hidden camera.

6.4 White noise generator

white-noise-generator

white noise generator defeats such listening devices as hidden microphones buried in a wall, transmitters located in AC outlets and laser/microwave reflection from windows. This is accomplished by producing a security blanket of generated noise completely covering your private conversations with unfiltered sound, thus ensuring a private conversation.

7. Communications Equipment

7.1 UV (Invisible Ink) Pens

uv-pens

How about an “invisible ink” pen? This uses an invisible ultraviolet ink and can be written on almost anything – paper, metal, skin, wood, plastic. The other end of the pen shines an ultraviolet light, displaying the message. This would be great for covert communications!

7.2 Dissolving Paper

dissolving-papers

You can write, type, or print on this just like regular paper, but if you touch it to water it completely dissolves in a matter of seconds. If you have any secret information that needs protection, this paper offers more security than the best paper shredder.

8. Tracking Systems

8.1 GPS Tracking Stick

gps-tracking-sticks

GPS tracking devices use satellite signals to keep track of where someone has been anywhere in the world – of their exact times, locations, altitude, direction of movement, and speed of travel. This TrackStick is about the size of a pack of gum, and can be unloaded into your computer via a USB port.

8.2 Real-time GPS Tracking Systems

real-time-gps

GPS vehicle trackers use satellites to determine where a vehicle is located, where it is going, and which direction, and when. Real time GPS tracking systems allow you to follow a vehicle, live, using maps on a website.

9. Location security Equipments

9.1 Door Stop Alarm

door-stopping

Use this door stop alarm to block a door from being opened. If anyone tries to open the door, this 120db alarm will sound. Alarm shuts off when pressure is released from door stop plate. The alarm is pressure sensitive and also works as a door jam.

9.2 Diversion Safes

diversion-safes

Diversion safes look like household products and food containers, but have secret compartments and removable tops and bottoms. These safes are hidden in plain sight, in your refrigerator, cupboard, or closet. Some diversion safes are made to look like electrical outlets, books, or even rocks in your yard.

9.3 Door peephole video cameras

video-peephole

This black & white door scope camera mounts in place of an ordinary door peep hole, allowing the user to see visitors outside the door on a TV or monitor. This camera is fully adjustable and fits most doors.

My new upstairs neighbor spends an inordinate amount of time on his balcony. Our balconies are directly outside our bedrooms. He wears cowboy boots, therefore, his activities are my activities. When he arises, I arise. I have no choice. He makes trips to the balcony 4-5 times per hour all day and night. He stays 5-10 minutes. I have reason to believe he is smoking, which is not legal in our building. He is blind. I am looking for a way to prove he is smoking before I go to the management. I thought a periscope would be the thing, but I cannot find one long enough. It must extend at least 6 feet.
