Technology.am (Sept. 17, 2009) — A Taiwan scientist has made an earthquake early warning system, which will allow public a crucial 15-second warning before quake causes destruction.

EarthquakeThis invention has been achieved by Wu Yi-min, associate professor in the Geophysics Department of the National Taiwan University.

The gadget can be linked to computers and also be used to halt lifts in buildings when quakes strike.
